the world are tring to find the vaccine for prevension as well as
for curing the people from HIV infection sharma: hello sir

Alok Mukherjee: Thanks Dr. Gupta
sharma: what is Sinus Infections
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Sharma the Disease

lower immune status of body in our country the most common infection
seen is TB due to HIV
Alok Mukherjee: Can a person with HIV who has an undetectable
viral load pass HIV to someone else?
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Sinus infection is
basically is not related to HIV and infection of nasal sinuses
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Alok yes
sharma: Sinus infection is a major Symptoms
deo: HIV virus can remain active only for some time, that too
from blood to blood! Am I right? then what are the chances to get
AIDS through niddle which was used earlier say few hrs before?
Alok Mukherjee: Are health care workers or people in other
occupations at risk for HIV?
vikram: is there any Vacacine developed for HIV or not
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Deo HIV virus can
remain a live outside human body only for half an hour and if there
is major blood splash seen in hospital setting there are chances of
infection being transmitted to another person if that persons has
got cuts and abrasion and the blood with HIV touches that perticular
area.
Meenakshi: What is the symptoms of HIV/AIDS?
Question: hello sir
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Alok the people
working in health care setting are at a risk of getting HIV
infection if they do not practise universal work precausion as per
NACO norms.

navneet gupta: good afternoon sir, Sir i want to know that if
unfortunatly any HIV suffring people blood mix in food or marker
fruit then if someone eating those food so eating people suffring
HIV or not
Meenakshi: Is there medicine or vaccine to control HIV/AIDS?
kaju: helo sir.
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Navneet the
infection cannot be transmitted by the routes like eating food or
fruit contaminated with HIV blood but it can be trasmitted by only
three routes viz sexual, infected blood transfused and infected
mother to new born child.
deo: what is the life time of a person who is HIV infected?
kaju: what is the causes of tramission of this disease. In case
case of Injection it is teransmited but biting of mosquite it's not
Why ?
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Meenakshi there is
drugs available for treatment of HIV infection but there is no cure
that is that person who got the infection have to take the drug for
very long time may be life long and there is no vaccine for control
of HIV
Dr.V.K.Gupta: If the drugs are
given the persons immunal level is bettered for very small period
dr. rupa: good evening sir
Meenakshi: Yeh medicine HIV/AIDS ko kab tak control karti hai or
is medicine ke kya side effects hain?
Alok Mukherjee: Do sex partners who both have HIV need to use
condoms?
Alok Mukherjee: Does using alcohol or other non-injected
drugs increase my risk of HIV infection?
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Deo HIV infected person can live more than 15 yrs
because it is being seen after getting infection 25% people get
various infection within 5 yrs another 50% in another 5 yrs and more
than 5% does not get infection even 15 yrs after HIV infection.
navneet gupta: Sir in case of HIV infected mother who is
infected after the birth of child then how much possibiliy to
infected breast feeder chield
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Dr Rupa Welcome
kaju: i have no question yet. that conversasion is enough for
query. i just only watch and get information .
Alok Mukherjee: Does postexposure prophylaxis (PEP) at certain
times help when people are potentially exposed to HIV when a condom
breaks or during sexual assault
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Alok if both sex
partner have hiv THEY have to use condoms to prevent the increase in
viral load and if viral load is high person gets infections earlier
Alok Mukherjee: Dr. Gupta its realy interesting to get certain
quarries solved. Thanks
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Gupta the HIV
infected mother can pass infection to unborn child during child
birth however, there are lesser chances of passing the infection
during the breast feed.
M.M.Gore: Is any remedy finding to AIDS anywhere in the world ?
Dr.M.Ravindranath: What is the % success of cure. Some
homeopaths claim to have a non-failing cure for AIDS. Alok
Mukherjee: What do people with HIV need to know about hepatitis?
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Dr Ravindranath there
is no cure of HIV infection it is lifelong infection. However, some
Doctors claim for cure of HIV which is by giving the drugs which
suppress the immune system of body and person is tested as HIV -
because of no antibodies being present.
dr.rupa: hello sir
Alok Mukherjee: How can people with HIV and AIDS pay for their
medical care?
dr.rupa: actully, i have no question this time
Dr.M.Ravindranath: You mean by supressing the immune system HIV
goes undetected
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Alok the hepatitis is trasmitted by
cantaminated food water, and infected syrings and needles and rarely
by mother to unborn child. There are no extra chances of hepatitis
in people suffereing from HIV Dr.V.K.Gupta:
Ravindranath Yes
Meenakshi: Kya HIV or AIDS dono ek hi hain ya alag alag
situation hai?
M.M.Gore: Please suggest any more tips for a science
communicator in order to spread awareness about AIDS ?
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Alok the drugs
available for HIV treatment in Govt setup is free of cost but it is
given only to people who are suffereing from opportunistic infection
or severly infected with HIV
Alok Mukherjee: If an adolescent gets tested for HIV, will the
parents or guardians be told about the test result?
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Gore please
contact me at my email
:drvkg@indiatimes.com
Dr.V.K.Gupta:
Alok yes if the test is carried out after it is being asked
by the person concerned . But before testing the counselling is done
at various govt health agencies at voluntary counciling and testing
centres.
Alok Mukherjee: Can an employer require that a job applicant
be tested for HIV?
hello: hello sir
Dr.M.Ravindranath: One fundamental question Dr.Gupa. Vaccines
have been developed for various life threatening diseases from time
to time. But new and more complex viruses are coming up despite more
conscious and better efforts on sanitation. Why is it so
Meenakshi: Or agar yeh dono alag alag condition hai to kese pata
chalega?
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Meenakshi HIV
infection is 1st to occure and then after approximately 10 to 15 yrs
the same person gets AIDs in the form of various diseases related to
immune system. i.e the staring point is HIV and person is getting
AIDS may be the terminal point
hello: what types Bone Problems occures
rkyadav: sir actully i want to know can i test my blood for
HIV + , whether iit is effected or not, & what is called this
testing
rkyadav: another question is for that test how much i have to
pay ?
hello: what is Osteoporosis
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Dr Ravindranath
the HIV vaccine is not succesfully developed because the virus
mutates vary rapidly and the vacccine developed becomes useless for
the current use. but for the other diseases the bactria or the
viruses are more stable.
Alok Mukherjee: When does a person who has tested HIV positive
is diagnosed with AIDS. What should be the person's CD4 cell count.
Dr.V.K.Gupta: CD4 cell count is
less than 200 is a critical point when he should be given
antiretroviral drugs.
Alok Mukherjee: Can a person who is HIV negative or of
undetermined serostatus may be diagnosed with AIDS
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Yadav the blood is
tested for the presence of antibodies against virus by doing elisa
test in most of the places. But other test are also available which
are not done routely.
Dr.V.K.Gupta:
Alok the person who is HIV + can get AIDS.
rkyadav: thank u sir
M.M.Gore: UN & other global social agencies can make
"International Year of AIDS Cure" like International Year of Physics
2005 ? Can it not prove a step ahead towards AIDS control?
Dr.M.Ravindranath: Thank you
hello: no answers
Alok Mukherjee: What are the symptoms of a new HIV infection?
Meenakshi: Kya kabhi HIV/AIDS ko finish kiya ja sakega? Or iske
kitne % chances hai?
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Gore the various
agencies are already tackling the problem of HIV infection by
various means specially the awarness about the HIV infection and
behavious change in various high risk groups. However the agencies
like UN AIDS and WHO are alrady tkaing care of this aspects.
hello: Where did HIV come from?
Alok Mukherjee: Why should HIV-infected persons be concerned
about coinfection with HCV?
Dr.V.K.Gupta: HIV AIDs can be
decreased by taking various measures suggested by National AIDS
control organisation under GOVT India However if we take these
measures seriously it may require another 30 yrs approx. when we can
say that there are no HIV AIDS cases in our country.
hello: ans plz
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Alok the HIV infected
person should be concerned with every other infection as in any
human being without HIV also however there is no coinfection with
HCV with HIV people.
hello: How well does HIV survive outside the body?
Alok Mukherjee: Thanks Dr. Gupta for your sound clarifications.
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Hello the HIV
infection was reported 1st in USA and African continent the virus
came from monkeys which got mutated and infected human being. In
India 1st HIV infection cases were reported in 1986.
Meenakshi: Ans Please
hello: 2nd ans
Dr.V.K.Gupta: Hello the virus
cannot survive outside the human body. iF IT present in blood than
it may remain in blood for a very long period .
hello: how it transfer from monkeys to humn person
Dr.V.K.Gupta: I want to inform
everybody online that HIV is transmitted by three routes i.e sexual
route, infected blood/syrings and needs & mother to her unborn
child. The infection is life long and it can be treated by giving
antivial drugs and there no cure and no vaccine against HIV. However
if there is any further question pls send it to the email :
