‘Dare to Dream 2.0’ to promote innovators and startups                                                                 

      

A contest was announced by DRDO on the fifth death anniversary of former president of India and a renowned scientist Dr APJ Abdul Kalam to promote innovations in defence and aerospace technologies. The last date of submitting the entries for Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) innovation contest ‘Dare to Dream 2.0’ is on October 15, 2020. The institution has asked all the participants to submit their entries on time.

The ‘Dare to Dream 2.0’ is an open challenge to promote the innovators and startups for innovations in defence and aerospace sector.


The objective of the contest is to unearth disruptive ideas and concepts in emerging technologies identified by DRDO for enhancing defence capabilities.

The winners will be decided after due evaluation by an expert committee. Award money, up to Rs 10 lakh for startup and Rs five lakh to individual category, will be given to the winners.

The contest was announced by Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh on July 28, 2020 where he expressed his happiness to announce the contest for the ‘Ignited Minds’, whether innovators or startups. More information about the contest is available on DRDO website www.drdo.gov.in.
