                           Sub: Inviting Quotations for printing of the   ‘Desk Calendar 2009’.                            VP/058/08/A&A/08

             
       

Sir,
      Vigyan Prasar invites quotations from you for printing of Desk Calendar for the year 2009 as per the specifications given below.  The quotations are invited only from Category “A” printers as empanelled by DAVP.  We request you to deposit an earnest money of Rs.5000/- in the form of demand draft in favour of Vigyan Prasar payable at New Delhi along with your quotations. Further the successful bidder would have to provide a bank guarantee of Rs.20, 000/- at the time of award of contract.  

The specifications for printing 2000 numbers of calendars are given below:      

A. Desk Calendar:

  1. Size of the calendar: 11”  X 8.25” (when folded)

                                     : 11’’ X 20.5’’ (Open)                  

  1. Total pages             : 28 (14 leaves)
  2. Calendar leaf size   : 11’’ X 8.25’’(13 leaves in four colour printing on both  sides)

                                 (One leaf printing in single colour on one side, size: 3’’X11’’)

  1. Paper                       : 200gsm and  250 gsm art card glossy SINARMAS (BILT)
  2. Binding                    : Wiro   
  3. Board                       : 36 ounce Mill board white (Star Mill) smooth finish (80 GSM white map litho paper is to be pasted on the both sides of Mill board of Calendar. Folded Mill board is to be prepared as per the sample available in  VP )
  4. Quantity                   : 2000

    B. Calendar Box (Die-cut): 

  1. Calendar Box Size        : 11.25’’ X 8.5’’ X 0.75”
  2. Paper                             : 250 gsm and 300 GSM duplex board
  3. Printing                         : Two colour, one side
  4. Lamination                   : one side laminated
  5. Quantity                        : 2000

     Please note the following points: 

  1. The rates should include the charges for packing, forwarding, taxes etc.
  2. You must send the paper sample of the specified GSM along with your quotation. If the paper sample is not enclosed, the quotation may be treated as cancelled.
  3. The quotations must clearly specify the rates as per the specifications asked for by us
  4. Your quoted rate must remain valid for six months. Within this period your request for increase in the quoted rate will not be agreed by Vigyan Prasar.
  5. In case of any clarification required while quoting the rates, you may please see a dummy design in the office of Vigyan Prasar with prior intimation.

Kindly quote your best lowest rates for the quantities mentioned. Your quotations should reach to the undersigned latest by 08 December 2008. Please super scribe “Desk Calender 2009” on the envelope.
