Vigyan Prasar, (VP) an autonomous
organisation under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India has
been set up to take-up large scale science popularisation activities. Vigyan Prasar's
major objectives are to inculcate scientific temper, to increase the knowledge, awareness
and interest about science and technology among all segments of the society. To achieve
these, VP has a number of programmes like publications, information system, audio-visual
productions, science clubs networks, electronic kits and so on. VIPRIS Clipset is a subscription based fortnightly service,
from Vigyan Prasar.
Clipset is a compilation of select clippings of news items and
feature articles on science, technology and environment topics collected from more than
one
hundred newspapers and newsmagazines.
