As the year 2008 has been declared as
‘international year of Planet Earth’ VP proposed to produce a
26 part serial on the theme of ‘Planet Earth’. The 26 parts
were divided into 5 blocks. Proposals were invited from
agencies on an open tender basis and it was clearly stated
that not more than one block would be awarded to an
agency/firm/producer. Request for Proposals (RFP) was sent to
more than 80 producers and the same was made available in the
web site as well as a news paper advertisement was given. Two
bit system was adopted as stated in the RFP.
2 In total 83 covers/proposals
were received. After due process of examination of the sample
programme provided, scrutiny profile and evaluation of the
treatment provided by each producer following FIVE producers
have been selected:-
